Blessed Renewal

Lately, I’d been feeling somewhat dry spiritually. The rush and worry of school life slowly ground my devotion to a halt. I picked up Rick Joyner’s The Final Quest for some encouragement. But the big turnaround for me occurred when I purchased a new bible today.

Ode to an iBook

It all started in September 2005. The journey was long; the transition was painful. But in the end, I became a Mac user. I purchased the last generation 12” iBook G4. At the time, I didn’t realize that the whole switch to Intel processors was so close. However, I was still happy with my new computer. And so began a productive life of computing—until Tuesday.

My Writings

As you notice above, I’ve now added a section1 entitled Writings to the site. You can click the link to view some things I’m currently working on. Feel free to comment!

1 Updated Nov 3, 2007: These are now sorted as series.

He Is Love

To begin our study, let us focus in on a few key Scripture readings. As we continue along, we will spend time discussing each of these passages in depth. For now, let us just meditate on these:

1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Great Love

Throughout the Bible, we see the true story of God’s unfailing love for His creation, regardless it’s self-imposed plunge into unrighteousness. Through the actions of one man, the world was subjected to utter chaos. By the same token, through one Man, everything was redeemed. In this study, we will explore God as love Himself.

Because Grace Abounds Much More

Recent events have caused me to stop and think about how blessed I am to be where I am. I cannot deny; my tenure at Georgia Tech would have been abruptly cut off had not the Lord stepped in. I came to school in 2003 very much into my own desires, thinking only of what seemed pleasing at the time. Oh how I thank God for allowing me to see much more now!

I Find Myself Singing

Some days, things seem so out of place. Out of the clamor of a bustling week, various stimuli grope about for my attention. I follow along, only to find enervation as my reward. How terrible is the spiral! Until now, this has been my reality. However now, instead of chasing those things, I find myself singing.

Dichotomy

The divide occurred
When insinuating circumstances did assure
A way to ascend
No need to depend
The path to the means with no regard to the end.

For a moment
It was stimulating
Maybe even liberating
But none the less the aftermath was quite devastating.

But what was set free
The one that claimed liberty
Was the less-known contender: Dichotomy.

Short Writings

At times, I like to write short poems about things that are on my mind. When I get a thought, I enjoy playing around with words and seeing how many ways I can express an idea. Here is a collection of some things I have written.

1 (Updated Nov 3, 2007): I dropped the category in favor of using series.

There Are Reasons

In November of last year, I began Artisonian. Since that time, I’ve learned a lot about administering a website—particularly how much time it requires. Taking a break each week to post new content becomes consuming very quickly, especially when the material has not been prepared adequately. Thus, after the first two months, I found myself unable to maintain my initial plans for Artisonian. My ideas had run out. With limited hours per week, I was unable to contribute thoughtful articles continuously. Recently, I received some extremely valuable feedback and realized I needed to revise my strategy. It was time for Artisonian to change.
